Another day, another mountain to climb

Today began with an attempted visit to the Adana Archaeological Museum. No soap. They are planning to build a new one, so....they closed the old one to visitors and everyone goes into work and sits and smokes and drinks tea. But you cannot see all the objects in the museum sitting 5 feet away. I did snap a picture of the rather HUGE mosque in the city....

Next we drove 70km to the site we planned to visit, Anasavas, a Roman-Byzantine city covers 100s of acres, most of it surrounded by a huge wall. Towering over the city is an acropolis I it's a Crusader era Armenian castle and a later Ottoman fortress. Of course, it was a goodly climb to get up to them!
We also visited a few local tombs from the Roman period, as well as the Mosiac floor remains of a Roman bath that now site in here Frontyard and chicken yard of a farm.

Now we are in our hotel in Kiskalesi, steps away from the beach. This is our base for 4 nights and we will drive up into the interior each day (yeah, I know, leaving the beach is dumb!)

All is well. Hot hot hot, but well.
